Science Week this week has been a great success. There have been a wide range of practical science activities happening all week that have tested the children’s design ideas and creativity! I have enjoyed visiting the classrooms and seeing the organised chaos of whole class practical science lessons- and the speed by which it all gets tidied up again! Excellent hands on learning.

Reverend Claire

We have a visitor in school this week. Rev. Claire is undertaking a Curate Placement here at St Andrew's and she will be with us for the week- experiencing life in a busy primary school. She is also a musician and we felt very priviledged as we listened to her play us into assembly on the piano earlier.

FOSTA Meeting

Thursday 2pm in the library- all welcome.

This week it is Science Week at St Andrew's! Mrs Keeble-Fox has started the week with a super assembly getting us all ready for the week ahead. The focus area is Space across the school with an additional focus on Care for our Planet.

Classes will be working on science activities every afternoon with a variety of visitors coming to our assemblies.

Happy New Year

We all welcome you back to school on Monday the 7th January 2019. I hope that you had a lovely Christmas and feel refreshed and ready to return to school.

The Autumn term ended on a real high with the fun of Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas Dinner, FOSTA'S Christmas Fair, FOSTA'S Movie Morning, a whole school Dance Share, Mulberry Tree Nativity and the Christmas Carol Service to name a few of the events at the end of term. There was such a lovely atmosphere at school and you'll be pleased to know that the Sudbury Food Bank benefitted from the remaining tinned food from the Christmas Fair and a few hundred mince pies!

I look forward to seeing all your happy faces on Monday.
