PTA
St Andrew’s PTA are a thriving Parents and Teachers Association who are known as the ‘Friends of St Andrew’s School’.
Primarily the ‘Friends’ work to support and boost the school’s finances through a variety of fund raising events organised for the pupils, parents and wider community. A typical year would include many activities such as school discos, beetle drives, jumble sales, sponsored football shoots and Christmas, Easter and Summer Fayres. The money raised from these events provides additional equipment for the school, such as playground equipment, wildlife area, early years playground and most recently the purchase of new staging.
The ‘Friends’ are always looking for new ways to raise funds and welcomes any new ideas. We hold our meetings immediately after school, during which time our children are accommodated in the school library, approximately 5-6 times a year. Parents of the school are automatically members of St Andrew’s PTA and the ‘Friends’ are always looking to welcome new and active members.
