What's going on in Horse Chestnut Class?

Welcome back! I hope everyone has had a lovely summer!

Our topic this term is Ancient Egypt. To celebrate the start of our topic, there will be a launch day on Friday 22nd September. The children are invited to come into school dressed as Ancient Egyptians and will take part in activities and crafts related to our topic.

There is a parents' meeting on Wednesday 13th September at 3:30pm. This will be a chance to meet you all and give you some information about the upcoming term.

If you have any queries beforehand, don’t hesitate to come and talk to me.

PE will be on a Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon.  Please ensure all pupils have their full PE kit (labelled). Long hair must be tied up and all jewellery removed.

Each Friday your child will be sent home with a list of spellings to learn, ready for a test on Monday, and some maths homework, which will either be consolidation of the maths we have been learning during the week or for them to learn their times tables.

There is also a topic homework map available on this page for the children to complete by the end of the topic (December).
