Children’s Wellbeing

Our children’s mental health and wellbeing is vital to their academic and emotional development. At St Andrew’s we have embedded a culture of care and kindness that aims to support our children both emotionally and academically.

We have a trained member of staff in Emotional First Aid who supports children needing time and space to share concerns.

The Headteacher is the Senior Mental Health Lead and she has successfully passed the Certificate in Child and Adolescent Mental Health for Designated Mental Health Leads qualification.

We are also a fully trained Trauma Perceptive Practice school with two staff trained in delivering this Essex wide initiative.
